About Me
My name is BJ and I'm a Melbourne based 21 year old Communication Design graduate from RMIT, driven by a deep passion for visual storytelling, branding, and design. I’m now turning that passion into a purposeful career, crafting thoughtful, engaging work that connects people and ideas through design.
Who are you?
I create purposeful, clarity‑driven design by asking “why?” at every step, blending precise vector work and multi-media with holistic brand thinking to craft visuals that feel authentic and communicate meaningfully.
What is your general design approach?
What does your developmental process look like?
My developmental process shifts with each brief! Sometimes it’s research‑heavy, drawing on case studies, articles, or interviews, and other times it’s driven by creative experimentation through multimedia journal entries. No matter the project, sketching is my constant: fast, lightly annotated pages that help me test and shape ideas before they fully form. Here is a brief look:
Inspiration doesn’t just happen at the desk, which is why I sometimes value journal‑style research that moves across different media, including photography.

I take pride on my sketches which are fast, simple, and on paper, to communicate ideas clearly — they make conversations with peers easier and ensure nothing gets lost.

Rough prototypes are essential too; whether it’s a quick booklet mock‑up or a physical version of a script for a video, having something tangible to mark up always strengthens the final outcome and often sparks unexpected new directions.

Absolutely! As a freshly graduated designer I'm looking for junior roles. I’m especially drawn to branding, visual identity, social media and campaign work where design isn’t just decorative, but strategic, transparent, and emotionally resonant. I thrive in environments that value teamwork, experimentation, critical thinking, and purpose-driven design.
Are you looking for work? If so, what kind?
I would love to reach out and talk about this further!
